Stupid idea...Peavey Fury/Plymouth Fury bass

I recently heard someone jokingly refer to a Peavey Fury as a Plymouth Fury, and it gave me an idea, albeit a stupid one. What if I was to take a Peavey Fury, paint it an authentic Plymouth color, do some striping and get ahold of some Plymouth Fury emblems, replace the Peavey on the headstock with Plymouth, and turn it into a tribute/"inspired by" bass? I'm sure I could come up with some other neat ideas for it too...

Thoughts? Suggestions? Want to laugh in my face or yell at me about counterfeiting? I'd love to hear any comments.

Sounds cool to me. My first car was a 67 Fury. I have seen some pretty sharp Corvette tribute guitars. Maybe a whole car tribute series eventually?

Yeah...I was wondering about that lol. I'd like to find a way to integrate something engine related, but I haven't had the spark of genius yet.

I'm glad to see all the enthusiasm...it will be a little while in the making due to limited income, but I'm definitely going to go through with this! For now, sketching out some ideas will work. If it turns out to be really cool, it might just be time for a Superbird bass...

Someone mentioned the red and white which would be neat; any other color suggestions? If a certain color emerges as pretty popular, I'll do it in that color.

I have this, but the Fury was just too perfect of an opportunity:

Thumbs up

All this talk about 440 six packs... Christine... somehow I ended up with the most UN-cool Fury 3 in High School (1984)....a 68' had a 318 with a measly 1 barrel Carter carb... 0 - 60 in just under...ahh who am I kidding it didn't get to 60...haha. it was White with black vinyl top and red vinyl int... oh yeah it only had one fender skirt which I promptly removed . saved up to buy a cassette player over the stock am radio...it was sooo big my friends dubbed it THE BELUGA... and yes, the starter sounded funny.

on an up note all 5 members of the band and our sound guy fit in it. 3 up front 3 in back...

I like the idea... don't forget to show us when you're done !
