We're not clear what you're referring to by sub bass. If you clarify where you heard or read sub bass, it would help us to answer your question.

Sub could mean a few things...

There's a MusicMan S.U.B., sort of a budget model Stingray.

There's a Kala SUB, which is their import line of their Solidbody U-Basses.

Sub Contra are notes much lower than traditional bass guitar tuning. Look up Jauqo III-X's work and instruments.

I'm looking for a bass that will give off bass that you can feel instead of hear, I have a 7 string tuner to B,E,A,D,G,C,F I first heard of sub bass from yves carbonne but he rocks 9-11 strings, I am wondering if he has a low F# to get that real low end that you can feel.

Stop. Go back. Re-read the post from me about speakers, and from JAUQO about the notes he's playing.

Exar's business is on hold for now. I will still help previous customers.

My mistake, I just need better speakers/cabs to get the meat out of the lower notes

I hear the Ampeg 410hlf and 610hlf cabinets can do pretty low frequencies very well although I am unsure about how good it can sound the frequency of that low low F# though. I thought I would throw those 2 cabinets out there, i'd say some people on here have experience and know about this. I hope you find what you are looking for.

This subject is right up Jauqo III-X's alley. He posted a comment earlier in this thread. Send him a quick PM. He's really cool about replying to TB people.

Thank you and you're in the Chicago area, you're more than welcome to come by and check the sub contra basses out first hand if you want.
