| | | | Suggest me a good 5string bass for 800 euros Hello,
I really want to get a new bass(which is better j-bass or p-bass?) playing rock music with the band.
So which one to get for that budget?
thanks |

| | | | Hmm is it wise to find it somewhere locally and test it out rather than order it online?
But it might be hard to find it locally. |

| | | | Do you want narrow neck or wide or inbetween? Do you want soapbar, big humbucker, J or P or some combo of two of these pup types? Do you want active 2-3 band eq onboard or do you prefer passive sound and its limits? For narrow neck Ibanez and Esp Ltd get my vote. For more medium but still very playable neck and in some ways better to me, Jackson basses.
What brands do you like for 4string basses? Try fivers by them. What brands are available your way not so much known in america? Could be some real jems among those.

great piece of advice, and easier to find in Europe (don't ask me why) than Standard V Jazz... plus... lottamore performance
But I gotta add
G&L Tribute L2500 (you choose which finish and fingerboard)
Ibanez ATK805 Premium (a funny pickguard, yet a serious axe)
Yamaha TRB1005J
Ibanez SR375, 405, 505, 605, 705
Yamaha BB425/425X, 1025/1025X
Cheers,
Wallace

| | | Hello,
I suggest a yamaha bb425x ( new ) 500 - 600 eur - passive pb / j pups configuration.
Great bass... or maybe a 1025 ( 2nd hand), + 1 atk 805 would be great but only available un usa I think.
I bought recently a wonderful tune bass twb53 750 eur ( new) ...great bass, sound deep, good finish ( made in korea) .
this is my lady http://www.emma-music.com/boutique/f...lg=lg_fr&num=1
As suggested by Walace L2500 is a good bass , maybe the new M2500 ( without the 3 switches and 18 volts preamp) |
