Sunrise Electric Bass? 2 Attachment(s) Hi guys, I'm new to this forum :) I've been meaning to switch to 5 strings (from 4 :P) but I was really afraid I wouldn't get the hang of it or that I would have a hard time getting accustomed to a wider neck, so I figured the best way to go about it was to go for a really cheap bass on which I could practice and get a feel of the setup before I buy a custom carvin or so (I'll leave that for another thread :P) A friend of mine got me this bass for a discount and I'd really like to see what make it is or where it came from (the guy doesn't have a clue). It has Sunrise written on the headstock... nothing else. Nothing on the pickups, nothing on the neckplate, tuners etc. From what I've read on the web there were 2 guys back in the 70s who used to work for Gibson and then started a company on their own, which didn't last too much, but I don't think that has anything to do with my bass as all the Sunrises I've seen (guitars) are all from the 70s and I'm pretty sure mine came out of the box. Anyone care to help me ID my bass? Thanks |
