It would definately be cheaper to do it the way I did it. I reciently did a Warmoth build and it cost me a fortune. When you buy the Squier you already have all the basic parts and electronics. All you have to do is cosmetics and your mostly there. You can always change the hardware and electronics down the road. One down side to the Squier is that it is very heavy...11lbs+. One other note on the Warmoth build...unfortunately, they don't have good resale so what you put in don't expect to get out.

Ok, those are the same thoughts I had. My Spector CRFM5, which used to be my main player, was heavy and I didn't mind it. I'd like to lacquer the neck and finger board. Would you mind if I pm'd you if I have a question during the process?

Can't say I've ever gassed for surf green, but truly beautiful. It would be hard to say no to.
