I really want a Surf Green Jazz now.
There was a guy here the other day that had a Surf Green 5'er with maple board, black blocks, pearloid PG, and matching headstock.
It was beautiful.

Someone said that tort clashes with the surf green. Someone else said that tort distracts from (or dominates) the surf green. As a professional teaching artist, I respectfully disagree. I say that the tort (red, especially) compliments the surf green very tastefully.

You are correct, red is opposite of green on the color wheel and thus complimentary. That being 'theory' and this being real world I don't like tort against the green. Does nothing for me.
I do have to say that this has me thinking of a pastel bass, except I think I would go with sonic blue, no pickguard.
