What basses are good for tapping like Ryan Martinie besides Warwick bc those are really expensive but also I was curious as to know if there's any alternatives? :)

If you are a good tapper, you could tap on anything.

A bass with super low action. And access to 2 octives is a great start. For me the easiest basses to tap on are My Alembic and Tobias killer B.

Any bass will work as long as it has a good set up.
On a bass it takes some good finger strength. If you're just starting out and the finger strength isn't quite there yet you can use two fingers. If you're tapping with your index finger, you can place your middle finger behind your index finger to help support it. It's almost like the pad of your middle finger is on the nail of your index. Ok not quite but that kind of vibe. Once you build up your strength you wont need to use this technique, but it comes in handy if it's been a long gig and you're getting tired. ;)
Truth be told, I started with guitar during the height of the 80's shredder era so two handed tapping is second nature to me so I guess I'm cheating a bit. :hmm:
It is important to have a well balanced bass - NO Neck Dive.
(If you need to hold the bass to keep it from falling, it is almost impossible to tap effectively.)
Also: low action, low relief, and big frets.

The bass don't have to be expensive. It just needs low action. It is mostly about how the bass is set up. Some basses just won't go there well.

Part of what makes Ryan's tapping so noticeable is his tone and how loud the bass is mixed in the songs. He uses a ton of compression and really light gauge strings drop tuned (at least he used to about 10 years ago).

Low action. Light strings. Ready go.
