Taurus 3: Trouble getting USB musical keyboard to work

Greetings!

I have a Taurus 3. I'm unable to trigger the synth using a USB musical keyboard. (I am able to use a keyboard nicely via the MIDI port.
  • I'm using firmware v1.12RC2.
  • The problem occurs with multiple USB keyboards (powered and unpowered) and multiple USB cables.
  • MIDI is set to DIN/USB. (Also tried USB only)

Any ideas for root cause?

Thanks!

well ..you are totally in the wrong forum.. but you cannot plug a usb midi keyboard into a usb midi port on a synth... you need to go usb midi keyboard>computer>usb midi synth, and use either a sequencer or something like loopbe

I was wondering if that was the case. Thanks.

(General questions about using Taurus 3 pedals as an extension of the bass player's toolbox have been posted in this forum in the past. Since you had the correct answer, there was no real reason to quibble over the forum choice...)

MIDI send / receive

must be set to the same channel when plugging in directly.

You posted in the BASS section. A Taurus pedal is not a bass. A Washburn Taurus is a bass
