| teach me about pickups...
I've been playing Kieth Brawley basses for 10 years. I love the feel of them. The neck is perfect.
I just bought a Music Man Ray 34 bass. I think the Brawleys are made better but the sound of the music man far and away better. Hotter, more growl and better sounding in general. I would like to make my braleys sound like my MM. Should I just try replacing the pickups? The pickups in them are active but way quieter than the MM. Is there an aftermarket pickup I can buy that will sound like the MM? |
