To the teens, post pics of your gear here. ALL of it.

So long as you are still studying, and/or working PART-time, then yea, you can post!

I just wanna see if my G.A.S list is impossible or crazy.

Yea I know, it's a bit too long

And a wee bit of your background too. How you got the money to buy the basses, what kind of gigs do you do?
How regular? How good you think you are? Do you take music classes?
Whatever!

SPEAK! PICS! POST!

Ok, I'm 17 and I've been playing almost 2 years now and I've spent a disgraceful amount of money on bass stuff considering I don't have any kind of job....

Here's my gear:

From left to right:

Ibanez ATK 305 - €670 second hand, total cost including bass, case, shipping, import duty etc. My first PROPER bass, i love it. Worth every penny, saved for ages, pocket money, doing extra jobs, getting cash for birthday and christmas etc.

Harley Benton P-Bass Copy €75 new, absolute piece of crap that i learned on. I recently took it completely apart and put it back together. Parents bought it for me.

Ashdown MAG300 115 Combo - €470 new from Soundlive.co.uk. Got it when I joined my first serious band, after about 9 months of playing bass. Huge power, I won't be needing to upgrade it any time soon, i love it. Got it as a joint birthday & christmas presesnt from my parents.

Pedalboard and Pedals:
Boss ODB-3 - first pedal i got, cost €105 with a free cable. I'd saved up a bit of pocket money for it.

Morley Dual Bass Wah - €155. No way i'm getting rid of this, put it after any overdrive and it makes it scream.

Boss LMB-3 Limiter/Enhancer - €85, i got it as a christmas present along with the BCB-60 and the Ibanez delay. I really like it.

Ibanez Delay - €65, I had money to spend for christmas so i said why not? I like it, comes in handy for cool sounds.

I got lessons for the first six months, but felt i wasn't learning much i didn't already know - I've done piano for 6 years. Everyone tells me i'm the best bassist my age around town, but I dunno, i need to brush up on theory and tidy my technique a lot, though i can play fast enough.

I'm in 2 bands, one's gigging, the other isn't yet. Haven't gotten paid decently for a gig yet though.

I work to pay for my stuff, the BTB, Vintage fretless and the Ashdown I recently moved on, and I have a Squier Vintage Modified Fretless bass which I havn't got pictures of yet, but I might have to get around to that. I don't gig on the regular, but me and my brother have done a couple of minor improv duets together recently.

I also have a 51' RI precision. But no current pics of it yet..

My rig;

Plus these pedals;

EBS Wah-One

All these on top of a T-Rex pedalboard with a T-Rex powersupply, and George L's

And all my basses have Moody straps on them (leather backed), and I have a bunch of different lenghted lava cables.

Sweet! Colour on the ATK I might add Domokun. If only they offered that colour on the new ATK line.

Thanks! It's 17.5mm, same as a stingray 5. I think it's perfect, took me a couple weeks to adjust to it and get my slapping on target, but it's really easy for me to play now!

I don't have any pics of my gear on hand at the moment but look at my sig to see what I have. I've bought everything except the Washburn (gift from parents). I will hopefully have some pics soon when I add a Skyline to the stable.

Dont gig much now since I go to school on a distant island

But when I lived back home I gigged, maybe 3-4 times a month.

When I move to a city next year I will hopefully gig as much if not even more

Well I am 18 and:

Musicman Stingray5 HH
Musicman Sterling
Epifani PS600
Epifani UL310
Demeter HBP-1
Crest CA6
Korg DTR-1000
SKB 4 space roto rack

the ps600 and korg now sit in a nice little gator rack bag, since it is my main amp.

Not pictured is a 1993 fender mim jazz.

I paid for it all by working. One summer/fall in a factory assembling lighting fixtures. And for the past 6 months I have been a cashier at a Hannaford grocery store. Ill admit that I have quite some gear for my age, but it has been the main product of my disposable income for the past 4-5 years, car payments aside. I think I am done buying large pieces of gear for a while. A small epifani cab will be bought for a practice amp, but besides that i may be done for a while.

I've managed to get all my gear through saving, selling, and sniffing up good deals. The Bag End cab was $150, the Sunn head was $425, etc., so I've managed to put together a decent rig for not a whole lot of money.

I'm almost 19 and am in college, so if you keep a goal in mind and stash a little money away, you can do pretty well for gear, in my experience.
