Is there a Yamaha BB club? There is now!

I have half a dozen different Yamaha BB basses and truly love these basses. I know I am not alone...is there really no Yamaha BB club?
Here is my main BB.... a 1986 BB5000 passive. My main bass!

Please post the pics of your BB's present and those dearly departed!

I didn't see one either. Here is my Yamaha BB300 that's just about done being restored. All I have left to do is make a new brass nut for it. It was a complete basket case when I got it. Put me down for a number if you start a club.

Here is a before photo. The body is in blue primer and the neck is sitting just above it. What you can't see is the fretboard was seperated from the neck and needed to be glued back on.

72LML....will do. Gonna wait a bit and make sure I am not stepping on anyone's toes. But you can count on it.

I have a feeling we are a small but dedicated following.

I have a BB3000S and a BB5000. Great basses!

I'll take a number if/when it comes around.

Good idea. I wanna play too!

My BB414 that I got in 2006. Bought on a whim. I had an extra-long lunch break one day due to a cancelled appointment & hit up the local shop. It followed me home & has been a favorite ever since. (The ugly futon is long gone, but the BB414 & the 4001 are thankfully still here...)

Put me down for a # too if/when you hand them out.

I really like the newer BB414's. Thinking about picking up one for my son for Christmas. We will give it a day or so and see if anyone objects or can point me to an older thread that I have been unable to discover through the search function and then we will dole out the numbers.... think we will break 20?

gotta love the fake MoP inlay stickers!

this was my first bass. i wish i would have known how nice it was at the time--i may have treated it a little better way back then...

there is just something nice and tight about the tone on this thing that keeps me coming back to it after all these years.

this is a BB-450... if memory serves it is an 88 or 89.

I don't need a number, but I have two 1984 BB1200S's - Beauty:

...and the Beast:

Love the tone on these, it's pretty much my perfect bass sound.

The 414 is really nice. I understand they've been superseded by the 424 series now, which I've not yet tried.

I'm sure we'll break 20, easy.

Left and center are 1984 MIJ models. The one on the right is 1986, made in Taiwan. It has been defretted and the current pickups are custom made by Nordstrand - the original pickups were lost.
