| | | I have loved my BB1500A ever since I snagged it off of Ebay about 6 years ago. Thinking about having the bridge and tuners recoated in black chrome since some of the gold is starting to wear off. |

I own a Yamaha BB5000, I believe it's 1986 but not sure on the exact year.

I have a BB1000S fretless, 1982, that I have had since new, I will never get rid of that bass, plays as good as anything I can build, and we have a lot of road history together....LOL |

| | Registered User | | | | | Yes my BB3000 and I have been through two bad paint jobs and pickup replacements but eventually went back to the original Yamaha pickups . The bad paint job is still there but it just gives it character now. I didn't even have to plug it in when i bought it, it felt so good just noodling around with it , I quickly said "I'll take it"! |

I have always babied my basses. 8 grew up dirt poor, so it was drummed into me...LOL. Only change was EMG P/J setup in 84, and they are still there with custom pickup rings. |

| | Registered User | | | | | That's what I did, I got EMG's , left them in for years, then one day just for the hell of it , I decided to put the originals back in and I fell in love all over again. I just wish I knew the exact year of the bass, I estimated it is somewhere between 1983 and 86. |

| | | | I'd like to join too. I've had my BB300 since 1990, and my dad's friend that sold it to us had it for years prior. I'm not sure when it was built. I have replaced the original P style stock pup with EMG active pups (I also added a J style in bridge position). Not real good at uploading pics, but I'm going to try.
