I can't wait to gig with this new bass (not for the AC/DC stuff, of course). Its got a serious rat-tail tone. |

Perhaps the new NR will pick up the slack. Also, why buy a standard epi either. Is this new Epi classic a "limited edition"? |

I have new strings (D'Addario EXL-170), frets leveled, neck with a tad of relief in it, and bridge height average. I get the slight fret buzzing in the lowest 4-5 fretting positions.
Input?

My first impression is that it is beautiful! The alpine White with the black hardware is stunning. I actually have a chrome set of pickups & hardware that I was going to put on this (still might...), but i may save that for another project.
Right now I'm thinking A Hipshot bridge & tuners, black of course.
I haven't even plugged it in. The neck feels really nice & is very straight (action is set kind of high... needs a set-up).
All in all, I'm pleased so far... we'll see how it does with a good set of strings & a set up.

Input? | I don't have fret buzz with my bridge almost as low as it goes. There is no right answer here, though. A lot of this depends on your playing technique, especially right hand technique. |

| | Registered User Owner: Moonshine Custom Guitars | | Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: White Bluff,Tn. | | Just finished setting the new T-Bird Classic up; mainly adjusted the underbow out of the neck & added a new set of GHS Boomers. Intonation was pretty close... Action is med-low now; plays really nice with a few light fret buzzes here & there (I'll let the neck settle for awhile before I do any fretwork).
The bass plays great & plugged in... Damn. I've owned several Gibsons over the years & this bass definitely has the classic T-Bird growl.
It's about time Epiphone came out with something like this.
