I've got the exact same custom T-Bird last summer, though mine is still stock.
I've been thinking about adding a black pickguard for a while, and now that I see yours, I definitely got to get my hands on one soon - That T-bird of yours really looks amazing. |

The other day I'm at Mike Lull's picking up my '77 'Bird and I meet Pearl Jam's Tech - He's picking up one of Jeff Ament's basses, I got a brief glimps of it but no pic, and as we all know here on Talkbass no pic= no bass.
Here's what I got to see.
It's a 12 string Thunderbird made with Hamer Chapparal and Lull parts. |

The Gibson/Epi 'birds have a slight angle between the neck and the body. Do the BaCHbirds? The Lulls? The others?
And - how much of a difference does this make in terms of playability? |

I can see your pics now, very cool Thunderbirds! I really like that reversed headstock alot! Shall I add you to the group, and can you tell us more about them both? Did you comission them as custom builds?
Here's the headstock, shot on a cloudy day - Big change in the color.

| | | Hi TBird1958,
Thank you for your message!
OMG!! Really cool color!!
Details of my bass:
I raised hardware e.t.c from Warwick.
and commissioned to the famous guitar builder in Japan.
This reverse headstock is the same template of Gibson "Firebird" headstock.
Reproduced in the size of 97% with respect to the body of the Gibson "Thunderbird".
While keeping the long scale, I have a smaller body size.
I fused with sound and philosophy of Warwick and the looks of Gibson.
I ordered Swarovski crystals of 30 gross.
After that, it was pasted on my bass by nail artist. Lol Quote:
