still a little fine tuning to be done to the beveled edge, but quite liking the look

Thanks! They have been my favorite bass for years. Just never had the chance to own one. Years ago I was in a rock band and that's what they wanted me to play, so they bought me a blackbird. Loved it, but when I left the band I had to give it back. I didn't want to buy used or an epi or another brand of it. I wanted to be able to buy it new so all the miles will be mine (I know kinda weird). Very excited. I will post more pics when she gets here.

My dad did the same thing. When he made the switch to playing in a band again and be a bass player, he wanted a black thunderbird. When he couldn't find one in a good condition, he settled for the blackbird. I quote "best bass i've ever own cause of it's loud output due to lack of controls." although, after the band wasn't going anywhere, he sold it. If he hadn't, i would own it right now. Hopefully, i'll either find a genuine gibson blackbird for cheap, or epiphone will re-release it as a classic pro model just nikki sixx signature. That would be great.

Thanks!! The Gibson on the left is a regular ebony Gibson TBird. I replaced the pickguard and TRC with a carbon fiber one that I got from Ebay years ago. I also replaced the origninal nut with a graphite nut. I refer to that one as my "stealth" Bird.
