Lightweight tuners, beefy BadAss bridge. I carved the lower horn, so I can reliably access all but the last two frets. But I hardly ever play up there anyway. Quote:

What do you say??? | 1. 70s Thunderbirds have the jack on the front.
2. Some 70s Thunderbirds have the word "Thunderbird" by the serial number. It is a sticker under the finish. '76s and I believe early 77s did. Then they switched to the stamped numbers for late 77 and 79 iirc.
That looks like a legit 76 to me.

I'd say it's a legit '76 or early '77 before Gibson switched from a decalled S/N (with a different date code system) to a simpler stamped into the wood code. It's got all of it's parts, bridge and pickup cover - the jack is exactly where it's supposed to be. If it's a true '76 it's one of only 91 produced in black that year..............Bad ass! |

Although I wouldn't call that a "hairline" crack...
I do like the photos wearing the motorcycle helmet, too!
