Is it time for a Benavente Club (LEJ's included)?

Just in case here are my 3...

Shall we do this???

First a Vintage Vortex... Bene pups and pre

Second a Flamed Walnut Fless Vortex with Lane Poor pups and Bene pre

Last but by far the baddest a custom Benavente reminiscent of the Benavente Divinity Works line, Aero pups and Bart Pre

How are the higher strings because it looks to be around 34. Also, how heavy is it? Also could you pm me on the cost?

It's about time. Chris should get some praise for the excellent work he does. I'm glad he's young and hope he has 20-30 years left of work.

I just received this bass on Monday.. It's a 51" P-5.. I use to own it a few years back and always kind of missed it.. When I first had it, I shipped it back to Chris to have the new neck and pickguard made.. I didn't like the original 5 in-line tuners, plus I wanted a rosewood board.. I also changed from the original EMG's and Demeter preamp (which I hated) to Seymour Duncan pickups and passive.. I plan on a few changes.. 1st: I may have it refinished and may have the headstock done to match.. 2nd: I may add some contours to the body ala Fender.. 3rd: Possibly change the pickups to Nordstrands and add another preamp, something probably like a 2 band.. I may stay with the Seymours if I can find a preamp to go with them... The bass plays nice and I've always loved the 51 Fender P-style basses..

Yeah, but that's what that lint roller is for

Damn, man. Next time I pass through your neck of the woods, I'm dropping in for a visit!

I just picked this up. I maybe the third owner of this baby, and hopefully the last. It's my first Benavente, and I have to admit, that's very impressive. It's very Fodera like, but unlike the Foderas that I've owned, this one speaks to me in ways that the Foderas couldn't, especially the pre-amp. I was never a big fan of the Pope pre-amp. Another thing I like is the neck profile, very nice indeed. I'm hoping that this would be a keeper, at least for now.
