Trying to decide between the two (MIM Standard Jazz), and need some help!

Go white. Then you'll have a choice of any pickguard you want. If you go sunburst you're stuck with either tort or black.

That was kinda my thinking. Not a bad idea.

I've had a few sunburst basses and that was always my main regret.

The mim sunburst is not a true 3 tone. Its a brown sunburst. Looks more yellow to me.

Typically yes, but gray pearloid on a black P is pretty sweet also!

Get a white one.
