I've got 2:
1. A 1990's Squier P/J Protone. Mods: MM J Neck, new GFS Pups, switchable from Parallel to Series.
2. Squier Bronco Bass. Mods: Active/Passive switch with my own personally designed single band active preamp (thus the 3 knobs), Grover tuners, Moved the output jack to the body edge (ala tele style), and I made a black pickguard.

@patrickbrose- series/parallel on a PJ? dont have a schematic for that do you?
i couldnt figure it out, so i normally just do a pickup selection toggle switch.

Super Easy, just use a J bass Series/Parallel wiring but instead of the neck J, use the P. I used the SD diagrams.

Most P-bass pickups are simply one pickup that is split into two parts. There is still a Hot and Ground. The third wire simply connects the two pickup pieces. You can treat it like any other single coil pickup in a wiring diagram. And the combination of a P and a J in Series is super awesome...massive punch and power. I honestly can't figure out why this is not a standard feature on P/J basses. It can be done with one extra part (dpdt switch), which must cost only $.50 for a company like Fender.

Alright. My first "first page" post ever on Talkbass. Another pic of my two J's.
Left: Squier "American Vintage Modified" Fender Jazz Bass.
Right: Fender Deluxe Jazz Bass MIM (70's Allparts neck)

And the Squier alone.

is yours simply with a toggle? did you do a push/pull? passive?

I can do this with the rotary switch on my Dingwall Super P/J. It is the OMG! mode...

I used a toggle (you can see it between the bridge volume and tone knobs) It can be done with a pushpull if you don't want to drill a hole in your pickguard though.

...and I used a push-pull and at first thought it was silly - but now!

I love it!
