commenting on stuff from previous thread...

TommyKnocker: The old analog wireless systems may have degraded the signal some. But, I don't think I've heard ANYbody claim that they can hear any signal degradation from the new digital Line6 Relay series. I definitely cannot hear any from my Relay G30.

mark beem: Man! Nice TL6. I SO would like to try one of those out. Especially if I could A/B it against my Cirrus 6 (w/Mill pre).

Thanks Stu! Wish there were a way we could get an all-Peavey GTG! That would be awesome!

acoustibass...is there a way to find or change the battery box on Dyna - TL series etc... it's always missing or broken
I'm not aware of you can add the Sarzo to that. There's normally room to relocate the battery to the preamp pocket. Isolate it with some foam rubber. I remove the battery box and make a plate to cover the hole.

Of course, Stu and I agree AGAIN ! I absolutely love my Line 6 Relay G30. It uses 2 AA batteries (not 9v) and it sounds better than using a cable. It is designed to sound like Mogami cables, though

Peavey Cirrus and Foundation basses RULE by the way !!!

FrankenFoundy !

Here is my custom Franken-Foundy !
- Body and guts from a Foundation
- Neck from another Foundation. The black headstock looks awesome on this bass
- Replaced the bridge with an ABM bridge like on the Cirrus. Sounds and sustains better, believe it or not.

Thread fire starter.....

What's the most undervalued "way too cheap" USA model

I'll go first - axcellerator 5

They sell in the 200 range - play like a 1200 used bass

2nd line gbass - if they had a modulus name plate they'd fetch 1500+

Fury..

I'd put my $160 Fury up against any MIA Fender P bass out there.

I think the Foundation is underrated by the masses, but anyone who has one knows they are wicked. They sound like a Ric and play 1000 times better, too.
Average Foundation price ? - $250 ?

Then, maybe the Dynabass ? At $300 how can you go wrong ? With an active/passive toggle, you basically have a hybrid of a Foundation and a Rudy Sarzo

Hmmm... Otherwise it seems that Peavey basses, and our collective "little secret" is getting out and Peavey's are commanding a lot of $$ across the board in general.

One thing Peavey makes very well are their basses !

Also, I hope this thread doesn't get out and start raising the prices on all the basses mentioned

Gotta love those patriots, they are not hugely versatile but man do they put out some MEAN tones.
Huge fat single coil pickup in the sweet spot, sounds like a monster. Loving mine strung BEAD.

1980 Tobacco burst T40

Picked this up from eBay today. Seller offered to pay shipping for Easter day. That was enough incentive for me! This is my first old-school USA Peavey. Has some scratches and dings on the edges, but nothing unsightly.

The phase switch isn't the original style, but that is easily corrected.
