Too funny! That guy will be sitting on that bass for 20 years.

I'm also suspicious of sellers that have set their feedback to "private".

That's okay. I never get tired of seeing it!

BTW, the red one never arrived here. You should track the package...

This is odd.

This Accelerator AX is said to have appeared in the Sept 2012 edition of Vintage Guitar, and also in an upcoming book (letter from book's author attesting to its authenticity included). But the photo in the magazine doesn't have the sticker.

"Now, about that sticker: It was added after the bass had its "portrait" taken, and is an official NASA item given to media in late 1970, prior to the early 1971 launch of Apollo 14. In other words, the sticker is 25 years older than the bass!"

What the hell? The seller destroyed a spotless bass, and a vintage sticker!

I'm pretty sure the headstock say Forum AX. But I agree. I think a sticker should be pretty easy to remove though. There are a lot of good products for that, these days.

Putting that sticker on that bass was really stupid. You ruin the sticker and devalue the bass. Although at $260, the seller isn't completely unrealistic for that bass. (I don't think Willie Moseley's certificate adds anything to the value)

*Looks like the ebay seller got the sticker, and the bass, from Willie Moseley. And only a couple weeks ago.

Except that he paid only $212.50 for it.

Yeah, he's being pretty bold doing that. If he were smart, he'd hold onto it a bit longer and let the previous listing disappear.

How do I join the Peavey USA club?

Hey guys, I am a new to Talkbass and would like to join the Peavey USA Club. I am a bass guitar collector who loves peavey USA bass guitars in particular. Please pardon me being such a newb at this, I have searched your forums for years and though I would finally join. I would be more than happy to post pics of the Peavey's that are currently in my collection. Thanks, Chris.

Cirrus Birdseye Maple, and a Cirrus Bolt-on.

I was told that the Birdseye Maple guitar I have was a NAMM display model several years ago, not sure if this is true or not.

I've recently re-discovered my '87 Foundation S, and it's quite simply one of the best sounding basses I've ever played.

Chris, you are really well qualified to be a member of this club!

BTW, my Dyna fiver is the same color as your Dyna (Frost Blue).

How crazy would it be if I told you that the Dyna is my favorite? I love the Cirrus guitars I have to death, but I always grab the Dyna when it's time to play. Needs a bit of a fret dress but other than that, what a great guitar. Thanks for the vote!

I so jealous of both of those DynaBass. Blue with black hardware - set me up!
