It seems pretty rare to see the stock knobs on many of the older models like the Sarzo and TL-5 and 6 etc.

This pic is not the best, but I'm sure the knobs were changed. I believe the upper two were originally speed knobs and were changed to domes. The blend knob was changed to one with a line on it. The other two may be original but I'm switching all of them to domes for consistency - at this point looking for original ones seems moot since it's not prisitine.

What made that finally close? Did it get too political or divisive?

One troll and it had gone on too long but it wasn't taking up nearly as much space as the "upgraded pickups for whatever Fender bass" threads or the "my strap button screw came out".

I thought about starting one that asked why Peavey players don't ask about PU upgrades. There have been surprisingly few of those.

If you have the patience you may find a nice one for a deal, less than 200.00. If your looking to buy a nice one soon from someone who knows the real value of these basses..... Probably between 250.00 - 400.00 realistically.

On eBay, T-40 have gone up, but sometimes sneak through in the low 300's.

I am probably going to buy this USA made Fury. The only problem is that the logo has been removed from the headstock. I am getting it for $100 with a Peavey case. I think a good deal considering.

You could get a replacement logo made.

I guess, but I think for 100 bones this is a good deal. I play gigs at the beach and this would be a good beach gig bass. I would probably use the Peavey case with my beloved black Foundation.

$100 is a great deal. Especially w/a case! That bass looks to be all original except the logo is gone.

I recently got one just like that, only more beat up, and with the logo still on it, for around the same money... If that one plays anything like mine does, you'll do well for yourself to grab it, IMO - mine has excellent fretwork, and plays very well...

I'm intrigued by the pickup placement on that Palaedium. Would love to hear it.

Nice looking Sarzo just popped up, the brown one. Not a bad price.

That is a GREAT price for that bass. And it has a hardshell case. The brown Sarzo's don't appear that often. Man, if I didn't own 2 Sarzos now, I'd buy that.

SMCD thats against the rules. I hear by
request that you donate one of your Sarzos to worthy organization. I think you should look into Gard's Peavey Against Envy organization. I will forward you some information.
