Updated basses pic

I've shuffled around a couple of basses, and took a current pic if anyone's interested:

Thanks - and that's an sr905, btw... I've owned a couple of sr505s, and think they're great for the money - but this 905 smokes 'em... It's very clear in the mix, without sounded too "nasally" - it's deep and clear, yet warm at the same time, plays great, is light with a neck that's very fast, and very stable... I've probably owned close to a dozen Ibby 5ers, and this one is the only one I'll probably never part with...

Thanks - when I got the T-bird, I was planning on flipping it for a nice profit, 'cause I got a killer deal on it... but it's grown on me... Both my guitards love it(both huge Gibson fans), and some of my band's fans have complimented me on it - so, I guess it's staying... Besides, it's nice to have something different than the Fenders and EBMMs I typically play - it's definitely got a rock look and sound to it, a fast thin neck, and is surprisingly comfortable to play...

Nice collection. Looks like you can get any tone you need.

I'd love one of the white T-bird from the 90's, a legit Gibson model.

Me too - I love the look of white T-birds... and yeah, the Epiphones don't quite cut it for me... I'm actually toying around with the idea of building a Federbird out of an Epi, though...

Thanks - I can't quite get the Spector/Warwick tone, nor the Ric tone... I'll probably get another Spector in the future, and have already owned a Ric - and found that they're not my thing...

Do it!! Been LOVING my Euro 5LX through my Mesa cabs, the aggressive tone of the Spector sounds killer though my PH412

I used to have a pair of Q5 Pros when I was playing Spectors, and their tone always was great - the main reason why I got away from them is that I was playing 5ers for 3 out of 4 hours per gigs back then, and between the weight and 35" scale, it was wearing me out... I switched to Ibanez and Schecter for a little while, and have since settled on EBMMs for my 5 string needs, and kept one Ibanez 5er 'cause it's such a good instrument.... Still, I miss having the Spector sound available to me, and think they're typically very well made - a 34" 4 string is definitely in the cards at some point...

Hey, George! Long time.... I am down to four. One old p.o.s. acoustic/electric, and three pretty nice basses. But, I've been thinning down since retirement. Good to hear from you.

That's absolutely ridiculous having 11 basses! You should have no more than 10. Anything more is just excessive.

(awaiting my 10th bass)

Yeah, it does seem to be a little out of control, hahaha!!! I *used* to flip basses when I wanted something "new" - now, I just keep it if it's a good player, and buy the next one that comes up that I like...

I've owned a couple of nice fretless basses, and they're just not my thing... I pretty much always play and sing, and playing a fretless takes away from that - besides, I'm not really playing any styles that would call for a fretless...

Still, I may pick up one of those Squier VMJ fretless basses just "because" - you never know...
