Question Used bass help

Hi guys, ive got an offer to buy yamaha rbx270j and an amp line 6 lowdown 15w for $420 both with a gigbag, cable and etc. But the problem is the bass and the amp havent been used for 3-4 years. So my question is can i still buy them and they will be high quality? Thanks

Sounds to high for me but go check it and see what used gear goes for in your area.

my knee jerk reaction was that those prices are really really high for used beginner gear..

So, a quick check at ebay sold listings have a yamaha rbx270 sold for $80 and a line 6 LD15 for $65

you can do far better for far less money.

as far as played or not.. plug it in, turn every knob and make sure things work and no scratchy sounds, and budget $20 for new strings...but 4yo is irrelevant.
