Vintage 1986 Peavey Patriot Bass with case
 

Hi all, would appreciate any feedback you have for me re: pricing to sell a Peavey Patriot Bass (one owner) - USA - a hardshell case, Boss tuner and Peavey Minx Amp.

I am in Toronto, Ontario Canada and see a few ads on kijiji asking to buy just a hardshell case in the $60-$80 range. The ebay prices for some similar basses seem to be in the range of $159 up to $222 or $399 including the case and the Minx amp about $50-$65. Does this seem about right?

Here are the details..
1986 Peavey Patriot Bass handrafted in the USA
Creamy white glossy body with a light colored wood neck
Rosewood fretboard
Single Ferrite pickup
Volume knob and Tone knob
Grover style tuning machine heads
Set up is fine
Condition is excellent, very minor wear (only 1 small chip at the edge and 2 very minor dings-almost unnoticeable, no scratches).

Hardshell case was purchased at the same time as the bass but although it has Peavey stickers on it, it does not conform to the bass, it just looks standard. All four latches work perfectly, 3 minor dings.

Peavey MINX Amp - everything looks and works fine.

$159-$222 for the bass (case included) is about right. Including the case doesn't really increase the value. It's either included or it's not. And if its not, you risk getting stuck with a case that nobody has the bass for.
That being said - I'm interested in buying the bass (case included if course).

There is one of these for sale in my neck of the woods for 150$. How would you describe the sound? What other bass can you compare it to?

I had a Patriot 25 years ago & it was stolen, and I want it again. :) You are very much in the price range. Did you sell it already?
