I own a Rogue VB100 that I love to death! The picture is of me playing at a show called Beatlemania, and wearing a Beatles shirt of course lol.

Nordie dual coils rock! Is the bass chambered or hollow?

I hate you, Munji. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it? And by who?

EDIT: It says LeCompte.. But how much was it still? Haha

Mine is the best, pics will come later (I have to take some, because I just woke up and don't have some). I have a Hofner CT 500/1! It's AMAZING. One of the band teachers loves it, and so does the horns teacher.

Damn, with all of these higher-end violin basses I feel so puny with my little Rogue! Maybe I should upgrade then lol.

Why? If it works for you play it! Don't ever apologize for getting a good value!

I wasn't really serious! I play it almost everyday, so it won't be going anywhere any time soon

That fretless Douglas is awesome!!

Is the body on that bigger than a Hofner?

I see Douglas is already represented here. I'm considering getting one. How do they sound? Hard to set up?

I imagine rewiring one is a right pain, like most hollowbodies.

Yep, a little bigger than a Hofner but not too bad. And the Douglas sounds pretty much like most of the newer violin basses. I've played most and they all seem to have a common sound to them as far as I can tell. Of course, this is without the benefit of rigorous ABing

I've been feeling the weight of my basses a lot lately, so I'm really interested in grabbing one. I'll have to see if I can try a rogue or epi out locally

It's by Bud LeCompte in Texas. The quality of his work is on the same plane as the best custom builders. You can go to his website to get prices. Although his prices recently went up, his basses are worth every penny of what you pay.
