I see Douglas is already represented here. I'm considering getting one. How do they sound? Hard to set up?
I imagine rewiring one is a right pain, like most hollowbodies. |

And the Douglas sounds pretty much like most of the newer violin basses. I've played most and they all seem to have a common sound to them as far as I can tell. Of course, this is without the benefit of rigorous ABing

EDIT: It says LeCompte.. But how much was it still? Haha | It's by Bud LeCompte in Texas. The quality of his work is on the same plane as the best custom builders. You can go to his website to get prices. Although his prices recently went up, his basses are worth every penny of what you pay.
