Visualizing My Dream Bass: Shortscale Headless Fretted/Fretless Doubleneck

One of my dream basses would be a shortscale (28.5" to 30") headless fretted/fretless doubleneck with 2 humbucker a la Gretsch Junior Jet and a Steinberger system bridge per each neck. Can it reasonably be made lighter than a regular 34" single-neck bass with ash/alder body and maple neck? I'd like a fat tone, so body wood choice must be made with that in mind.
