Here's a couple. The camo PG is a standard from Axetreme Creations. The air force PG was made by Axetreme but was custom made (both design and shape) to our specs. Same with the backplates.

Since today is Christmas, first picture doubles as a holiday greeting.

Here's a clear one on my Stingray. I also removed the control plate and put black screws in the holes. Was going to get a clear control plate but last time I looked they could not make one thin enough to fit the pot shafts thru. That was Chandler Pickguard Heaven who did the clear. I think Axetreme may offer a thinner material but am not sure.

Has a bit of an L-2000 look I think.

These two are on guitars rather than basses, but Axetreme Creations does both and these same designs as well as custom are available for bass. They do some cool color neckplates too.

We are not affiliated, but they make a lot of PG's us and do really nice work.

I dont own it or have a picture, but I saw a fender jazz bass covered completely in cheetah print, like fake fur, the texture was unbearable. The headstock was covered too, but the pickguard wasn't fur and was truly a nightmare guitar.

Thanks; me too! I love the look of natural wood and was thrilled to find out here was nothing ugly lurking under the MM HH PG.

The only thing that would make this better for me would be natural ash but the sunburst is growing on me and is a more classic look.

We had a fur strap to go with that leopard guitar. I'll try to find a picture.

Here is a picture of the one we did with a fur strap. In this case the guitar is in parts ready for user assembly at a workshop we put on. Guitar was designed by the user/assembler with a little coaching from us.

I used to dispatch deliveries for a NAPA parts store a few years ago and my manager would have never let me bring a bass in lol you're lucky!

I love that clear guard on the Ray too. I prefer if over just taking the guard off.

I've always wanted to try wood, but never found a suitable match up for the bass that needed a PG. These are a couple links I have browsed for woodys:

Had this one done at the local air brushing shop. Used to be plain white.

FRETNO -
Very nice custom version for your Hamer Cruisebass! Is that black brushed aluminum?

I was very pleased with my pickguard design for that bass.
