Caca, which ones specifically? I recall Coccos as being on the mellow side, warm and fat. I love my Wal tone with bite and snarl and use EB strings at the moment, though not completely satisfied with them.

The ones I use are the 45-105, and I have been using both stainless and nickel. So RC4G and RC4GN.
I use a bright gritty sound, and I do feel the they are more girthy sounding than EB strings. Lately I've been favoring the nickels.
If you want even more sizzle, try some DR Marcus Millers, wowee!

I just received an email from Paul last night. Yes, it took about a week for a response, which is pretty good considering I'm not ordering a new bass or anything. He is going to sell me a set of replacement screws. I got the spec from him and looked all over. There is nowhere stateside I can get these. I'm also ordering a t-shirt!

Now, if anyone wants to offer me a MK-II...

Sure!

This bass is 4-5 months old, but I've been keeping it in the case since I got it (health issues)

Last month started gigging with it and my band made this demo.

I'll get some pics and post asap.

Best

Here it is, hope you don't get bored...

Shipping the bass to Brazil is insane in terms of costs, so I decided to go to England and pick it up myself. Believe me, it was cheaper...

I was in Atlanta for a meeting and got a flight to Paris, then a train to London. When I got in the airplane to Paris, I realized I forgot 2000 pounds inside my safe in the Atlanta's hotel. I had only 2 credit cards in my pocket. I had decided to pay in cash to avoid fees from credit cards and paypal.

When I got to Paris, I went to an ATM machine and withdraw everything I could from my credit cards, but there were limits per day, so I could get 3,2 k pounds

I still needed 500 pounds to pay Paul...

When I got to Leatherhead (Paul's city), he was expecting me at the Train station. Very nice and gentle guy. He gave me a ride in his 207 peugeot with his dog in the trunk.

Then we got into his office, we chatted for a while and then, he showed me my bass. Amazing! I played a little bit and so, gave him the bad news: I still need 500 pounds to pay you....

I gave him 3.2k in 20 and 50 pounds bills. He said: Well that's fine, I trust you but...you know...He kept the money and the bass.

I said I was gonna go to downtown and try to withdraw the cash. I had 2 blocked credit cards, a train pass to go back to London, a train ticket to Paris (for the next morning) and my flight ticket to Atlanta in my pocket. None of the ATMs gave me anything...

Called all my credit cards and they allowed me an extra withdraw in only 24 hours...

I had no money to sleep and eat in the city. I had to wait for the next morning to try the ATMs again...

I started walking in the streets trying to find a place to spend the night. I went to the train station and seated on the floor. I fell in sleep..

I woke up (hungry) around 1 AM, it was chilly...I opened up my eyes and realized there was an ATM in the train station I hadn't tried. I put my cc inside it with my eyes closed. Asked for 600 pounds and....the machine spit it out!

Tears fell from my eyes...I got the money and bought a 10 pounds x-burger / coke combo. Found a 90 pounds bed in a hotel and left Paul a message.

He picked me up in the next morning at 6:45 AM at the hotel. We went again to his office, I paid him the 500 pounds and got the next train to London with the bass in my hands...

Despite of the confusion, he was a very very nice guy. Tried to help me in every way.

And now, every time I open the bass case, I remember the rats on the train station's floor...but it worths everything!
