This story gives me hope in mankind. I've seen just about every horror one can see, and have a pretty tough heart. My wife says it's a rock surrounded by barbed wire. You guys softened it up quite a bit. You guys are a class act. I'm proud as hell to belong to this "extended family". Please send my regards to our little brother, and ask him to one day "pay it forward". The world gets better one act at a time.

My wife and I have been very blessed and would love to contibute to this cause.
Ok, Tyrek's Behringer pratice amp is on the way to his mother's house and should arrive this coming Wednesday.
Thank you MadBassPlaya and DaveAceOfBass for allowing my wife and I to contribute. My wife and I do not have any kids
of our own, so it means a lot to us to be able to add a smile to a child's X-Mass.

That's the spirit! The giver is blessed as well when providing a gift like this. I gave a young nephew a sweet MIM precision with a P-46 in it. The look on his face was worth it.

Yep, what little interaction I've had with you guys was all positive. Everyone here seems like they're good people, this original thread actually was what made me decide to make an account here, great act of generosity.

Tyrek is a great kid and really deserves all of this. I'm sure you're all making a huge impact on his Christmas. In light of what happened in Connecticut, this really gives us some hope and joy in humanity to be thankful for this holiday season. I'm going to contribute too, with time after school for free lessons, a bass book, and a strap. He's technically not even in my class (he's in orchestra), but I'm going to teach him anyway!

This thread needs more love! maddbassplaya, DaveAceofBass, Stewie and everyone else who helped out this young man--you guys are great! Donating an instrument or amp can make a huge difference in a person's life, and it's a great feeling for the giver.

TB has a lot of very good-hearted, generous folks who make me proud to be part of this community.

Dave, I thank you for speaking out for the young man and his situation and mediating all of this as well as helping the kid with lessons, etc. You're a great guy!

Music has had a huge impact on my life, like many of us here. I'm really glad I was able to help and I want to do it again!

Thank you and everyone else for the kind words. No matter the differences in our lives (religion, polotics, etc) we are all humans and we are in this together.
