I'm going to get a fretless Warmoth neck for my American Standar Jass bass. I still haven't decided to get a tapered neck or standard. What's the big difference?

That looks awesome, good job! You've got me shaking in my boots, waiting for my fretless to arrive.

It's an Alder w/a Flame Maple top Gecko Medium 5 body with a 5-piece Maple/Bubinga(i think) Gecko5 Medium neck with Indian Rosewood fingerboard with 6150 SS frets and Graphtech Black XL nut. Has a Hipshot A-style bridge, and Hipshot UltraLite tuners. Electronics are EMG DC40's w/EMG BQC pre.

So the neck pocket and matching neck are normally-available options? Cool!

It reminds me of a Peavey Cirrus somehow.

It was actually modeled after my favorite Washburn XB800. Better than any Cirrus to me.

Yep, I had the same thought. That's a very nice top.

One of these days I'll have to build a Gecko bass around the single Peavey Cirrus "VFL" active pickup that is sitting in my parts drawer. I'm sure it would sound awesome.

The bass looks really great! Thinking about replacing the neck on my MIM swamp ash jazz.
I'm not sure. My guitar tech had some on hand, and asked if he could put it on.

Yes, the standard white pearloid inlays & binding have the same vintage satin nitro finish that the neck has, so everything has that vintage golden tint. My tech tinted the white pearloid pickguard and control plate to match. He did a great job.
The neck is SPECTACULAR! I have never played anything that's close too it. Of course, it cost more than many basses do....

Looks awesome. I think the black korina is beautiful. Can't wait to see it when you get it finished.

Something I should probably mention because it seems contrary to most other people's experiences with Warmoth, is that I never got any notification of my parts shipping. No tracking number, no confirmation email, nothing. Just the parts showing up on my doorstep out of the blue. Anyone else have a similar experience?

(I'm not complaining, it was a nice surprise)

Jeremy

When I ordered a Strat body a while back, I didn't get any notification that it had shipped either.
