@JYBass: the SD basslines are far from bad, your tone circuit I don't know. Let's wait and hear.

I'd massively appreciate the help.. thanks! |

I have zero experience working with frets, and I don't want my first efforts to be on either of these basses. They are both going to be showpieces with a fair bit of money involved, and about the only thing I'm confident of is that no matter how good of a job I would do, it would be followed up by a trip to a professional. I'd rather just get it done right the first time.
One of the lessons I have learned in life is that it's perfectly OK to not be good at something, as long as (A) I know it, and (B) I have a go-to person who is good at it. As Dirty Harry once said, a man's got to know his limitations.

Here's a quick sequence of the build...
At this point, I called Warmoth and told them I HAD to plug this thing in, and they express shipped me the electronics...
Ready, set, go...

Its playable! Everything is done except for wiring the electronics! Sounds so good acousticly and plays so nicely, it worked out so well! I'll wire it up tomorrow and then plug it in, maybe post some soundclips! I'm happy!
