Warmoth Short and Medium Scale Jazz Basses

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey good follks...

Not sure if everyone is aware, I haven't seen it here yet - but Warmoth is offering short and medium scale basses on a Jazz Body which they apparently scaled down to the proper size.

Pretty great for beginners, guitar players and those of us with small hands! Now if they would expand it a bit to include the 24 fret extended fingerboard and have some other body choices, they would really be on to something!

You can build yours here:

Here's my EUB prototype I cobbled together using a Warmoth Warhead 30" scale neck. I modified the headstock to a slimmer shape.

I know the OP mentioned it but can you confirm? Did they scale down the body as well?

What neck is that? The standard Warmoth 30" scale necks have a thinner headstock. Was this a custom Warmoth deal or your creation?

Also, if you used a Warmoth body did they scale it down for the shorter neck? It appears proportional but its hard to tell.

Great job on that one, I'm jealous....

They do have other body choices.

In addition to the ss J, you can get a short scale G4, single cut G4 and Z bass. You can find them all on the Custom Bass Body Builder front page.

thanks. it's a warmoth body (and they are scaled down for a 30" neck). it's also a warmoth neck but i added maple to it and shaped it like a fender headstock (by request).

it was originally shaped like this:

John K -

I was looking for your build thread on the above bass, but I can't seem to find it.

Care to point me in the right direction?

TIA.
