So I'm trying to start a Fenderbird build, but Warmoth hasn't emailed me back yet about a question I have-are Warmoth T-bird neck pockets to Fender or Gibson specs?

Many folks aren't thrilled with how Warmth designed these bodies... Ask around. I have read that Warmoth is looking at doing a re-design.

Fender neck pocket, though, to answer your question.

Thanks for the heads-up, Harry, guess I'll start another thread.

Wouldn't Gibson specs be a set neck design? (I'm not a Thunderbird guy, so I may be wrong.)

In any case, all of Warmoth's 4 string bodies have Fender neck pockets.

Pretty much all are set neck or neck thru except Victorys

I've been looking at using a Warmoth T-bird body as the base for a 5-string build. The ONLY way I'd do it is to re-route the neck pocket farther into the body and move the bridge back closer to the bottom of the body. You'd lose some fret access, but it's a T-bird...

Then again, I've also considered modding the lower "cut away" to allow for access up to the 17th-19th fret range. I actually do play chords and fills up there on occasion in my rock gigs, where I'd use the T-Bird 5 the most.
