Warning!! Account hacked!!

Sign in to disble this ad
So I was sleeping and heard my alarm go off. Checked and I received money from PayPal...
Said a payment from someone for my markbass amp...
Strange as I didn't post anything.

Called PayPal, changed passwords, refunded the guy who sent me money and tried logging toy eBay, talkbass, Warwick forums.
My eBay and talkbass forum account has been hacked.

My old account on talkbass is: SeungKoo and JonathanKim is my eBay account.

Don't know what happened since I logged off an hour or two ago but please if you get any messages or what not please avoid it.

I am now calling all my credit card and bank companies to put a hold on all accounts.

I'm so glad I had push notifications on my iPhone....

Best regards,
Jon

That's too bad. There was some wired spam going on here yesterday, wonder if there's any connection?

I'm kinda pissed off because someone tried to use my name to steal from others. If it weren't for the instant push notification some hacker could've stole money from my PayPal and checking account.
I'm so glad apple made these things.. I don't know who the hacker tried to steal money from but it was couple hundred dollars that was transferred. I just hope the poor guy got his money back.

If a moderator is reading this, is there a way I can get my old account back? I cannot log into it. I called PayPal and eBay to retrieve new passwords but I don't know the process for talkbass.
I had 50+ transactions on my account that I do not want to lose..

Your old account is posting links to "free basses" and "free bass lessons" at the moment.

I doubt anyone should click the links.

Looks like it's been somewhat handled. The account is listed as "banned" on the profile, I'd try talking to the admin and see if there's anything that can be done.

Can an admin pm please? I don't know who to contact. This talkbass app seems very limited. I don't want this stupid hacker to taint me name here.

Contact the site admins about changing your login information. All we mods can do is temporarily ban the account to prevent further spam.
