Best acoustic bass guitar I've ever played. They are killer. I don't care for the thumb rest, but other than that I had no complaints. Too bad they discontined them; they were fun while they lasted.

Where'd you hear they discontinued them? It doesn't say they've been discontinued on http://www.warwickbass.com

I see what you're talking about on http://www.warwickbass.com/basses/, but i thought that applied to the basses listed under that - on each of their individual pages they say "Out of production".

Ah, I see what you mean, and how easily someone could make that mistake, and now I'm confused.

Yeah it does look nice, but I could never really figure out why they bothered giving it 24 frets.

It seems like the last 4-5 frets would be rather hard to reach.

I second Benjamin - best acoustic bass I've ever played. Problem for me was, I didn't play it often enough to keep it around. FanTAStic for Cure tunes, which was basically all I used it to play =0)

The basses "Not currently in production" applies to the basses under that. The Alien is still in production, which is urther indicated by the fact that its still on the price list
