I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's an active, German-made, Warwick Corvette.
Great basses, I loved my passive one dearly.

Well, it's a Corvette body shape. Does it mention Rockbass anywhere on the headstock?

The last two numbers on the serial number imprinted into the back of the headstock indicate the year of manufacture.

Yes, that is an active Corvette Standard. If it's relatively new (if the last 2 numbers on the serial number are either 09 or 10) it is most likely one of the Korean-made Pro Series 'vettes, as they discontinued the FNA Jazzman and moved the production of the Standard to Korea and only produce the Corvette $$ in Germany now. However it looks to be the older German made Standards as the new Korean made Standards have a laminated Ovangkol/Ekanga neck and this one looks to be all Ovangkol.

Ok, there's no Rockbass label. And I think I see the battery compartment, so it has active electronics. String it up & let it rip!

You don't need to look at the headstock, a rockbass won't have nice looking wood like that or the stacked control knobs

I am fairly certain that the 2 band pre's are active, and made in Korea...but I could be wrong.
Go here and enter your serial # at the bottom, hopefully you can get the facts from the horse's mouth!

Orion Blue Book has the used retail between $640 and $782, which is about where you'll find it on eBay anyhow.
