Warwick with Brass adjust a nut what year

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi I was looking at a warwick fna jazzman and noticed it had a brass adjust a nut and knew they have changed to a plastic nut. Anyone know what years they used the brass on the jazzman?

I'm not sure when they made the change, but if you're trying to date that Jazzzman, you can do it easily by checking the serial # on the headstock. There will be a multi-digit number followed by a two-digit. Those last two digits are the year of manufacture. If you go to Warwick's website, they have info to look up the day based on the full serial number.
I've got a Jazzman and love it; it's my main player. 'Pretty versatile instrument.

Warwick used a brass JAN I from 1988-1998. They changed over to a carbon/teflon mix for the JAN II until 2007. Now they make the JAN III out of something called Tedur.

I have JAN I on my 1997 Corvette and it's great. It makes intonation so much easier.

If I remember right, the FNA Jazzman came out in 2000, while the original FNA (single pickup) was 98-99.
Either way if it has a brass one, then it was installed by an owner.
