Now here's a club I WISH I could join. I'd love to get one but I havent been able to get all the $$ together to do it.
I got to play one in a GC about a year ago +/- and I loved it.

I tried a Rockbass version at a Sam Ash store a few months ago and it simply didnt measure up. The Rockbass version is made from different woods but it wasnt the feel that was off to me, it was the lack of tonal variety that left me hanging. You lose the series/parallel switching option for the pickups plus there's no active preamp. You can still switch the pickups into single coil mode but thats it.

Understand that I'm not saying the bass sounded bad, but it doesnt produce the variety of tones that the German model does.
Hopefully someday I'll sign up here.

Im reading on the droid app and haven't figured out how to put up pictures this way.

Have had my nirvana black 5 string $$ for almost 2 years. I love the versatility and what I call BOMP that this bass delivers.

Lately I've been a little distracted with my new Lakland 55-01 fretless.

I string the $$ with Daddario chromes of late and previously had Sadowsky flats on it til I knocked it over and fret-dented the strings. Toying with another string change. Anyone using TI flats on their $$?

I team the$ $ up with a GK700RBII with Neo 212-II's. Great setup. Use largely for blues/rock.

How do I tell where my bass was made. Are the all from Germany or are they made in Korea with the corvette standard?

There's a serial number checker on the warwick site I believe. Typically if it has the two mini-toggles, then it is German.

The German ones will have brass frets. Ovankol neck, wenge fret board, ash body
