Question Warwick Corvette ??

Sign in to disble this ad
I was checking out the warwick corvette and thought about getting it. I played a warwick a few years ago in a music shop but it was one of their very high end neck thru bubinga wood models brass frets and all and played very nice. My question is basically for the price is the corvette basic active a good bass.

a few links to the bass

The bass that you have links to is the Rockbass. I just bought a Rockbass 5 string Corvette. It is nice for the money, but the bass needed mega adjustments before being playable. It's active, but doesn't come with a battery (maybe that's normal), the fret ends are mega sharp and the truss rod has no tension on it. Also, the neck is pretty thin and flat. It's nothing like my 5 string double buck, but then, it's 1/4 the cost.

If you're good with setups, or maybe buy a used one, it gets the job done.

If you are going to get a Rockbass 'vette, look for a 2010 and up model cos it's more like the German version or better yet, save like mad, and find a German built 'vette, that's how I got mine.

They sound sooooooooo cool...play great, I don't mind the weight, it's the sound that counts and playability.
