Hey guys, at my local music store i was looking for a new bass and one of the people who worked there told me there was a Warwick Corvette four string made of Bubinga wood for 900 dollars(normally 1700) in the back of the warehouse, and i was wondering whether or not I should hop on this offer immediately (there is only one left in stock) or not, seeing as it is a very large deal of money, so what are youre guys opinions on this bass. i tried it out and it sounded amazing to me and was incredibly easy to play, almost as if the bass played itself. it had a great punchy tone that i liked.
thanks :-)

Warwick's are amazing! Go for it! You'll love it!

However mine is from 97, just before they used the larger necks with wenge fingerboard and ovangkol neck. Mine is wenge and wenge with a very thin neck. The corvette standards are moving to... somewhere else I believe. Korea? Do you think that'll make a difference in price for the German ones?

| | | I love my Vette! Even more than my Thumb Awesome bass!
I don't know about the price since it may be different from one country to another, but if it's a German made W, IMO it's worth getting it - in Europe prices on the German ones went up like crazy since they've switched the production line to Korea.

| | | | crustychef thats exactly what i was thinking xD, i really liked the punchy sound of the standard as opposed to what ive heard on the double bucks, and i havent been able to find one for anywhere near the 900 dollars id pay for the standard, so i think im just gonna stick with it. thanks guys =P
