Warwick Fortress One?

Sign in to disble this ad
I found a used 1997 Warwick Fortress One for $540. How do these compare to other Warwicks? I've always wanted to get that classic Warwick growl and the Rockbass series basses just don't get it. At all.

Here is a link. Apparently the thing has taken some damage, which drove down the price, but the buyer says it's fixed. I don't care about the minor blemishes in the finish. Would you guys consider this a good deal?

Don't know about the deal because I live overseas, but the Fortress One is a good bass, and can growl like a real Warwick (bolt-on)

I remember seeing that bass in the classified here. 540 is probably about right for that bass. I've seen em go anywhere from 500 to 800. Remember the neck will be ovangkol instead of the original wenge. Since its not the original in my mind it would devalue it and pass but it may be right for you.

I used to own a Fortress One 5er years ago and sold it. Big mistake. How do the Rockbasses compare to the originals? I like the changes that rockbass has done as far as the bridge and what-not but I haven't had a chance to play one.

That same bass is for sale here in the Emporium.
FS: Relist with Big Price Drop: Warwick Fortress One P/J

Those are just absolutely great basses and I'd love to have this one myself just to gig with. You can beat the snot out of it and don't have to worry about it!

Price sounds good. I have a 1994 Fortress One and love it. And yes, it do growl!
