Well, I've gone and lost the strap side of my strap locks of my '94 Warwick Fortress One. Can anyone advise me on possible replacements that will fit the hole?
I hear Warwick have changed their design since 94? I've also heard that Dunlops could fit? Can anyone advise?
Regards,
Dave |

It might be worth ordering a new set of Dunlop Flushmounts for a PERFECT fit (they come with a new bracket that screws in once you unscrew the old, worn and dirty one), but in the meantime, any set of Dunlops will have the proper strap button to fit. |

I was able to pick up a set of Warwick labelled strap pins, but they don't fit into the locks at all. I'm assuming this means that I will need to get some Dunlops? |

Are there certain Dunlops that will work while others don't? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

Blindrabbit, it is very possible that the "female" part of the straplocks on your Fortress are simple worn out. In that case, you'll need to replace them - get yourself a set of Dunlop FLUSHMOUNT straplocks.
I'm sorry that a simple set of dunlops didn't do the trick in this case. I may have an extra set of the flushmount female parts lying around: PM me for more info.
the good news is that they are a simple, single-screw replacement. You won't need to drill&fill.

I'll add that, yes, the Warwick pins are not the correct choice, and I know because I have a set - that is what I started off trying. I've heard that it was right around 1994-1996 or so that they changed from Dunlop-style to their proprietary locks.
This forum is great - I appreciate all the help! Quote:

| | | | Now here is a question. I have a 1997 streamer pro-m that uses the flushmount dunlops and I'm getting a 99 corvette that has the external pins. Will the dunlops work at all with them? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
