Sign in to disble this ad
First time poster who needs some advice regarding purchasing a Warwick bass. Have been trying to save up for a streamer stage 1, but never seem to get very far, so have decided to spend the money I am stuckbetween buying a new Corvette rockbass double Buck for ,£467. Or a second hand Warwick jazzman FNA for £600. not sure what either is like and have no way to try these or similar out. cant find much info on the jazzman, as it seems tobe discontinued. any info would be greately appreciated. thanks

Warwick Basses Amps & Rock'n Roll

The FNA has been discontinued.

I'd probably go with the Jazzman. For only a little more $$, you get what some consider a "real" Warwick with nicer wood and active electronics. The Rockbass $$ is passive, which I personally don't like...but to each his own.

Get the fna the rockbass while a good instrument is lacking the quality and types of wood that are in the German made fna. The neck pickup of the fna is a single coil giving you a more variable sound , the neck woods on the fna are wenge and ovankol a primary component of the classic "Warwick growl" and resale on the fna will remain high.

Rockbasses are to Warwick what squier is to fender
