Warwick LX - before 2000. vs after 2000. -

What is the difference? I know that first LX series had wenge neck! What is the difference between Ovangkol and Wenege?

+1, but they switched to ovangkol in '99.
I had a '96 4 string (wenge neck) and currently have a 2002 6 string, the 96 sounded a little bit warmer but...

Wengé isn't better than Ovangkol, just different.
You may even prefer Ovangkol

Agreed.

I've owned many Warwicks of different years/neck material and the difference is very slight. I prefer the ovangkol personally. Feels better in my hands.
