Can you also use lemon oil to clean your bass? I am out of wax.

No. Lemon oil supposedly dries out the wood. Order more wax. Your bass will survive until it's delivered.

The wax is just beeswax. You can get it at any drug store.

I use lemon oil on the fretboard of my $$, but that is the only area. I ran out of the Warwick wax once and I went to the hardware store and got a beeswax wood product that is alot like the Warwick wax. It's not EXACTLY like it though. So I just use it as backup while I'm waiting for my Warwick wax to arrive in the mail. I have had nothing but great results. However, I still recommend using the Warwick wax the majority of the time. IMHO

Hope this helps.

who's gonna be waxing their bass so often they need spare wax to wax while the new wax comes in the mail? Basses can't grow hair THAT quickly.

I wax my bass maybe three times a year. It does fine. I am not surprised that the people who manufacture and sell the stuff recommend that you use it more frequently requiring you to purchase more of it though.

Any furniture grade oil or wax will work just fine.

This is what I use. Shines up nice and smells like oranges. What's not to love.
You can find it at pretty much any Home Depot or analogue.

Lemon oiling the entire body is fine,(that is if it's natural oil finished). But I wouldnt do it if you're simply out of wax.Usually, lemon oil is used to clean the fingerboard,& can also clean anywhere else.
Your bass will be fine unwaxed for years.Alot of owners never wax & the only downside is a dry looking bass.It wont crack or warp without it.
