Warwick Question - Broken Truss Rod - not a repair question though...

Hey folks-

I wish I was coming on to say "Hey I just bought a Warwick Corvette Std and it's great" cause until about 10 minutes ago, it was. I got it yesterday used at my local GC. As I was changing the strings today, I decided to adjust the truss rod. I have been working on instruments for more than 15 years, and have always been able to work on my own gear, so adjusting a truss rod shouldn't have been a big deal. The neck had some relief,so I loosened the rod a bit, and then turned to titen it. SNAP! The truss rod broke and start hearing rattling at the base of the neck. Now, I'm going to take it to get checked out by a better repairman than I, but I have a question that relates more to service. Is this something that I should just send to Warwick, or is this the sort of thing I should take care of on my own?

Considering youll be having to dump money into it id ask GC to fix it or return it. Unless of course you are in love with the bass or got some insane deal.

take it back and tell them you dont like it. they should give you a refund or atleast a credit.
IMO, not worth fixing. you would be looking at several hundred $ to repair or replace the neck.
