Warwick rock bass

What's this thing worth? It's a 2010 and its at a local music store. at first i didn't like warwick because i thought they looked funny but I played it and my mind was quickly changed. I've been looking for one and this one is nice. No scratches or anything.

Before anyone really starts knocking Rockbass, the newer ones are much much better than a few years ago. This one is a 2010, it's newer, should be fine.
Anyways...with that said, $3-500 used.
Look out for German Warwicks though, you can find a hec of a deal for the same price. I saw a '99 Streamer for $349 at GC once...I'd have grabbed it if I had the $.

Glad i asked. They are asking $799 for this Used Warwick Rockbass Fortress 5 String Bass in Natural Finish. I didn't think the price was bad because some of these go for over a grand. Is it the different options that make the price very?

Nothing in the rockbass line should sell for that much.

The Fortresses are worth more, but I saw a new 5 string in a store for $799. a Streamer LX in the same store was $499 new.

You can get an actual German Warwick Fortress (with a Wenge neck) *used* for $799 (or less), so there's no reason to pay that much for a rockbass

What things do you look for to know if its worth it? I see corvettes that go from $500 to $3000. I saw a couple other fortress on eBay that are around the same price. I don't know anything about Warwick basses and I appreciate all the help.

Maybe I made a mistake in my post but it is a fortress. They call it a rock bass fortress. Does that change anything lol

Rockbass is the less expensive overseas import version of the Warwick company..Like Squier is to Fender

and I agree $799.00 is way too much For a used Rockbass!

I had one that I bought in a local music store (on clearance) for $350. Now I have a German Corvette Standard one that I haven't been able to sell on my local Craigslist for $475. (These are both four string basses; the five string ones seem to go for a bit more. A while back there was a five string Rockbass advertised on my local Craigslist for $500.)

I don't care for Warwicks..lol so i wouldn't buy it...

Stated several times above somewhere in the neighborhood of $500.00 give or take

question is how much are you willing to pay?

You can find a good USED ACTUAL WARWICK for what they are asking for this Rockbass...

+1.

I owned a 90s Fortress Masterman and have played a Rockbass Fortress. IME it is like comparing Fender American Standards to Squier Affinity. Not the same bass in any way.... Excluding the shape. Different neck (mine was all wenge), different electronics, etc.

Newer Rockbasses are better than the older ones, but I would wait for a used Fortress or Streamer for $600-700 unless the Rockbass was under $400.

Are the necks thinner on the Rock Bass stuff? I would like Warwicks if they had thinner necks.
