I've never really been that interested in hollow body basses, but this one looks and sounds beautiful:

Warwick Star Bass II demonstration - YouTube

Of course it doesn't hurt to have a kick-ass bass player playing it...

Those basses are sexy, I like the 5 string version as well. Too much money for me to justify owning one though right now.

I've played both the german and korean versions in sydney, and now I'm saving up for one. Probably the Korean - almost as good, and not so far out of my financial reach.

If you get a chance to play one yourself, take it!

I played a Korean star 5 at namm 2011 and bought the exact one after I got back. It's amazing, haven't seen another one and I'm really surprised-

Well now... I think I've found the only gibson-style hollowbody bass I have any interest in owning.

you can set the spacing as you like, because the (black) slots in each saddle are movable sideways.

this is not from a Star Bass II, but I think it's the same bridge; looking "from the pickups", you can tell that there is a hex screw that holds the movable part of the saddle in place:

After seeing all of those, I agree that the Warwick is only one that I would ever own too.

"never say never", remember! When you'll play a solid Starfire, you'll take that back!
