Cheers! | Seriously dude, don't be condescending! No need to downplay your skills especially to the slap bass community! |

But yeah, there will be some better structured clips up in the next few weeks! so please subscribe if you dig it :-) |

| | | | Nice Streamer! I like your funk bass video.
The streamer had bartolinis as stock pickups, right?
Why did you change the pickups and how do the singlecoils sound compared to the active stock pu? Do they hum?
I thought about switching the mec-soapbars of my streamer too.
Thanks. |

Thanks. | Thanks Harrow, i'm pretty sure i saw a pic of her with Bartolini's in! (its a 1990 model, and i've only had it for 4 years!)
The Nordstrand's and Aguilar OBP3 pre-amp were already installed when i bought her! (along with the black hardware) so i don't know about the tone difference, but i can say with confidence that you wont be dissapointed with the Big Singles, they have a very thick, growly, and versatile tone! |

(as these strings are actually 2 years old!! i just fast-fret them every 2 weeks or so to keep them sounding as bright as i can) |

The Nordstrands sound clearer and more refined than the MECs that Warwicks come with, but, I don't know, maybe I'm wrong here, but I think I prefer the thick, cloying, ballsy tone of the MECs. I always thought that Nordstrands were marketed as a kind of 'anti Bartolini' pickup, lots of top end and very clear, but a bit thin sounding and though aggressive, a bit sterile.
Then again, it's all down to personal preference and I like the Bartolini / MEC sound, so all I can really say is great playing! |
